ahhhh summer is on our coattails... bring on the dewy bronze glow, coral nail polish, wedge sandals and minimal clothing. as much as i am addicted to regular facials, back facials are my new muse. not only do they provide the opportunity to lay face down and have some much needed quiet time, they pamper a part of our bodies that is highly neglected. whether male or female, toddler-toting, handbag obsessed, fitness buff or spa virgin... we can all benefit from a back facial. it begins with a proper cleanse, followed by delicious amounts of exfoliation and massage. by the end, your back will shimmer. follow this up with a good sunblock and go frolic. strapless dresses beware.
on another exciting note... the famous cosbar line is making a 3 week debut in target stores soon. as if i need any more of an excuse to stalk the aisles at my favorite "big store". stock up, as these little delights will surely fly off the shelves... or just wait and buy them double price on ebay.
and lastly... since i always like to share a favorite haunt, old or new... i sipped a cosmopolitan last night at one of the classiest joints in this city. known only by locals or those fortunate to stumble upon, albie's beef inn is the quintessential rat pack cave. black tufted leather, nude oils gracing every wall, piano bar, lots of sequins, botox and some of the best calamari on the planet... all served on a stainless cart. please go. and if you're visiting from out of town and staying close by, the attached adam's steak and eggs serves a stiff hair of the dog and you can get grits as a side with your sunny side ups. no brainer.
it's entirely too late for me to be awake. this is what happens when you fall asleep at 8:30 with toddlers and then have to move to your own bed.
