my joys...

this has never been a Mommy blog, and never will... I live each day consumed with the loves of my life, Nash and Tate. Not a moment goes by that I don't have them on my mind, and every goal in my life is established for them. That being said... my joy right now is seeing Tate with a blinking rudolph nose on, sassing me because he doesn't want to go to bed and pulling every ornament off the tree. I'm waiting for it to fall on him... but I blog away.

life is such a precious thing... it's fragile and ultimately difficult for just about everyone. In these shitty times of recession and losing homes, jobs, family members, friends, war... it can sometimes be the really small things that make a difference.

aside from my kids... my joy lies in music, friends, food and fitney *my copyrighted word for fitness.  Despite your crazed week of last minute shopping, lack of money and full on stress... take a minute to just count your blessings. Take care of yourself... because if you don't take care of yourself, you can't take care of others. Here are some suggestions....

good tunes... (sigur ros, whiskeytown, the verve, bon iver, zac brown, fleet foxes, band of horses, mark farina) and if you haven't heard of these bands, please go to itunes immediately.

good wine or a great mug of beer (pliny the elder comes to mind)

a burning fire, candle or fireplace..... no matter

family and friends.... the more the merrier, surround yourself with people that make you smile and laugh. If you have not laughed until you cried recently, you need to.

deep breaths.

wishing you all a really good week of hectic shopping and craziness.... may you all be able to relax and get some "you" time this weekend.
